This is a 7 day board and train e-collar program that focuses primarily on teaching your dog how to walk properly on a leash. We also address mild behaviour issues that are listed above. This program is not for dogs with any kind of human/dog aggression, fear/anxiety issues, food aggression or possession aggression.
“Look What My Dog Can Do!”
2 week board & train e-collar program

We will address all of the issues listed in the “Walk This Way” program, as well as teach your dog how to ride calmly in the car, behave politely in public, stay calm and non reactive when the door bell rings or guests enter your home and have off leash reliability for the obedience commands listed below.

Leash reactivity to people and other dogs
Resource Guarding (toys, people, objects, etc)
Food Aggression
Confinement Issues (destroying crates, etc)
Mild Anxiety Issues

We will also address all of the issues listed in the “Walk This Way” program as well as teach your dog how to ride calmly in the car, behave politely in public, stay calm and non reactive when the door bell rings or guests enter your home and have off leash reliability for the obedience commands listed in the “Look What My Dog Can Do” program.
“Your Dog, Your Way”
6 week board & train e-collar program
$5880.00 (Plus HST & the cost of tools)

This program is designed for dogs that have:
Human aggression
Dog aggression
Severe leash reactivity to dogs and people
Confinement issues (destroying crates etc)
Severe fear issues
Severe anxiety issues
We will also address all of the issues listed in the “Walk This Way” program as well as teach your dog how to ride calmly in the car, behave politely in public, stay calm and non reactive when the door bell rings or guests enter your home and have off leash reliability for the obedience commands listed in the “Look What My Dog Can Do” program.
Important Board and Train Information
Regardless of what program we decide best suits your dog’s needs and your goals, you and your family will attend multiple training sessions during your dog’s stay. These sessions allow us to transfer over the new commands, tools, skills and routine we have developed for your dog. Training you is equally important as training your dog!
While your dog is here with us you will have homework as well! There will be a book that we ask you to read so when you come in for your first session you will be more comfortable about what structure means and what being a good leader for your dog looks like. The book is called “Love Them By Leading Them” by Sean O’Shea.
Once your dog has completed a board and train program with us you are entitled to a free session of training once a month for life. We are also here for unlimited phone, email and Skype support. You will also be invited to weekly off leash pack walks. Our ongoing support is only offered to families who continue with the training once the dog goes home and follows our recommendations.
Included in the price of each training program is a prong collar. It will be sized and fit to your dog. If you hop over to our Come Prepared page it will show you a list of tools that you will need to purchase by the time you come in for your first session. This will include an e-collar, place bed and long line. There are links provided for each item so you have an idea of where to purchase each tool.
Once your dog has completed a training program with The Structured Canine, you will have the opportunity to use us for structured boarding or daycare. Our boarding/ daycare service is only open to previous training clients. When your dog stays with us, we continue working on structured walking, place, socialization, and calm crating. If you would like off-leash pack hikes or in-town sessions added onto your dog’s stay, this can be arranged at the time of booking for an additional fee.
Your dog will need to be fully up to date on vaccinations any time they will be boarding or training with us. These vaccinations include: DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella. If your dog is not up to date, they will need to be vaccinated two weeks prior to utilizing any of our services. Your dog also needs to be on a routine flea & tick preventative.
Once we have determined which program is best for you and your dog, a 50% non-refundable deposit needs to be made in order to hold your spot for the training or boarding dates we agree upon. The remainder will be due upon dropping your dog off.
